Abstract: Mentorship programs are pivotal in vocational skill development, providing students with guidance, support, and industry insights necessary for their professional growth. This study explores the role of mentorship programs in enhancing vocational skill development and evaluates their impact on student outcomes. The objectives are: (1) to assess the availability and effectiveness of mentorship programs in vocational training, (2) to evaluate the impact of mentorship on student skill acquisition and career readiness, and (3) to gather perceptions of students, mentors, and educators on the mentorship experience. A survey research design is utilized, justified by the need to collect detailed feedback from participants involved in mentorship programs. The sample size comprises 350 participants selected through purposive sampling to include a diverse range of vocational programs. The case study focuses on vocational institutions in Ogun State, which have established robust mentorship programs. Findings indicated that mentorship programs significantly enhanced student skill development, career readiness, and industry knowledge. Both students and mentors reported positive experiences, highlighting the importance of personalized guidance and real-world insights. Recommendations included expanding mentorship programs, providing training for mentors, and fostering industry partnerships to support mentorship initiatives in vocational education.
